The Water Goddess and Loy Krathong

Loy Krathong happens every fullmoon of November. I get to have the chance to experience it while in Bangkok for quick stop over after a conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The celebration is in honor of the Goddess of Water. Kathongs or the beautiful floaters where sent off to bodies of water everywhere in the city and in the whole of Thailand. Devotees believe that this is the feast of washing away all negativities and wishing for the good.

We went to Lumpini Park to send off our Krathongs.
